In 2014 and 2015 the four blood moons appeared each on a Jewish calendar holiday. This is very significant historically and believed to be a display of God's billboard in the sky and signs of the times we are living in and Biblical prophecy. Joel 2:31, quot;The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.quot;br/ br/ I photographed each of the four blood moons, 3 of those times shivering from the cold here in Iowa, which I never have been able to acclimatize to. The trick to photographing the moon is using a telephoto lens (at least 300mm) and double exposure of landscape foregrounds with a normal focal length lens. It's also very tricky to capture the moon focused and sharp, especially when it's eclipsing and dark. You can't just focus on infinity and expect it to be sharp.
